Causes of Malaria

My previous post was regarding malaria’s symptoms, today I am discussing the causes of
malaria. In humans malaria is caused mainly by parasite-infected mosquito’s biting it’s transmitted via the bites of infected mosquitoes. In the human body, the parasites multiply in the liver, and then infect red blood cells. Usually, people get malaria by being bitten by an
infective Parasitic.

When a mosquito bites an infected person, a small amount of blood is taken in which contains
microscopic malaria parasites. About 1 week later, when the mosquito takes its next blood
meal, these parasites mix with the mosquito's saliva and are injected into the person being
bitten. The malaria parasite is found in red blood cells of an infected person, malaria can
also be transmitted through blood transfusion, organ transplant, or the shared use of
needles or syringes contaminated with blood.

There are four species Parasitic falciparum, Parasitic malariae, Parasitic vivax, and Parasitic ovale .which are the main cause of malaria. Parasitic falciparum is the most common cause of
infection and is responsible for about 80% of all malaria cases, and is also responsible for
about 90% of the deaths from malaria it is found mostly in the tropics and subtropics.
The mosquito infected with P. malariae, P. vivax, and P. ovale occur all over the tropical
regions of the world. P. ovale mainly is found in western Africa
Even birds, reptiles, monkeys, chimpanzees and rodents are also infested by Parasitic
Plasmodium species.

We know that the Malaria is the most common disease that catches the person in the rainy season. It’s infectious disease caused by protozoan parasites. Symptoms of malaria include fever, shivering, pain in joints, vomiting, anemia which is caused by hemolysis, hemoglobinuria, retinal damage, and convulsion.

The classic symptom of malaria is cyclical occurrence of sudden coldness followed by rigor and then fever and sweating lasting four to six hours, children with malaria frequently exhibit abnormal posturing, a sign indicating severe brain damage.

Malaria has been found to cause cognitive impairments, especially in children. It causes widespread anemia during a period of rapid brain development and also direct brain damage. This neurological damage results from cerebral malaria to which children are more vulnerable.

Malaria is the most common disease that catches the person in the rainy season. It’s infectious disease caused by protozoan parasites. It is widespread in tropical and subtropical regions, including parts of the Africa, Asia and America. The disease is spread by Female Anopheles mosquito. Since, there is a problem of water logging during the rainy season, mosquitoes get conducive conditions to breed. This is the most dangerous disease in India with highest number of deaths credited to it.

Each year, there are approximately 350–500 million cases of malaria, killing between one and three million people, the majority of whom are young children in Sub Saharan Africa. Ninety percent of malaria-related deaths occur in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Malaria is one of the most common infectious diseases and an enormous public health problem. The disease is caused by protozoan parasites of the genus Plasmodium. Malaria caused by Plasmodium vivax, Plasmodium ovale and Plasmodium malariae causes milder disease in humans that is not generally fatal. A fifth species, Plasmodium Knowlesi, causes malaria in macaques but can also infect humans. This group of human-pathogenic Plasmodium species is usually referred to as malaria parasites.

Usually, people get malaria by being bitten by an infective female Anopheles mosquito. Only Anopheles mosquitoes can transmit malaria, and they must have been infected through a previous blood meal taken on an infected person. When a mosquito bites an infected person, a small amount of blood is taken, which contains microscopic malaria parasites. About one week later, when the mosquito takes its next blood meal, these parasites mix with the mosquito's saliva and are injected into the person being bitten.

Since this disease is spread by mosquitoes, so mosquito repellents and nets should be used to prevent it. Also make sure that water does not stagnate in your area as mosquitoes breed in stagnant water. Use DDT in the drains near your home.

Fever at regular intervals, bouts of shivering, muscle pain and weakness are the symptoms that a patient shows while suffering from Malaria.

Do not ignore any symptoms of malaria and consult your doctor immediately if you feel any sign of the disease.

Ascites

In medicine (gastroenterology), ascites (also known as peritoneal cavity fluid, peritoneal fluid excess, hydroperitoneum or more archaically as abdominal dropsy) is an accumulation of fluid in the peritoneal cavity. Although most commonly due to cirrhosis and severe liver disease, its presence can portend other significant medical problems.
Diagnosis of the cause is usually with blood tests, an ultrasound scan of the abdomen and direct removal of the fluid by needle or paracentesis (which may also be therapeutic). Treatment may be with medication (diuretics), paracentesis or other treatments directed at the cause.

Signs and symptoms

Mild ascites is hard to notice, but severe ascites leads to abdominal distension. Patients with ascites generally will complain of progressive abdominal heaviness and pressure as well as shortness of breath due to mechanical impingement on the diaphragm.
Ascites is detected on physical examination of the abdomen by visible bulging of the flanks in the reclining patient ("flank bulging"), " shifting dullness " (difference in percussion note in the flanks that shifts when the patient is turned on the side) or in massive ascites with a "fluid thrill" or "fluid wave " (tapping or pushing on one side will generate a wave-like effect through the fluid that can be felt in the opposite side of the abdomen).
Other signs of ascites may be present due to its underlying etiology. For instance, in portal hypertension (perhaps due to cirrhosis or fibrosis of the liver) patients may also complain of leg swelling, bruising, gynecomastia, hematemesis, or mental changes due to encephalopathy. Those with ascites due to cancer (peritoneal carcinomatosis) may complain of chronic fatigue or weight loss. Those with ascites due to heart failure may also complain of shortness of breath as well as wheezing and exercise intolerance.

Classification

Ascites exists in three grades:

Grade 1: mild, only visible on ultrasound
Grade 2: detectable with flank bulging and shifting dullness
Grade 3: directly visible, confirmed with fluid thrill

ANTHRACINUM

Inturation of cellular tissue.
Red lines, streaks and stripes mark out the course of the lymphatics.
Oedema of the affected parts.
Discharge of ichorous, foul- smelling pus.
Gangrene, absorption of ichor with ichoraemia collapse.
Violent burning pains, not relieved by Arsenic.

HEPAR SULPER

If given early will sometimes about anthrax, later it promotes suppuration.
Carbuncle surrounded by anthrax, later it promotes suppuration.
Carbuncle surrounded by indurated spots, pain intense, sleeplessness.
Stinging burning of edges of ulcer with corroding discharge.

RHUS TOX

The parts shaves a blush gangrenous appearance.
Itching, burning around the carbuncle, with vertigo, stupor, pale face.
Great restlessness; patient feels better while moving about.
More indicated in the beginning, when the pains are intense and the affected parts are dark red.

TARENTULA CUBANA

Anthrax,, especially on back of neck, with burning excruciating pain.
Eeysipelatous redness around the carbuncle.
Rigors followed by burning fever, great thirst anxiety, headache, delirium.
Profuse perspiration and retention of urine, intense pains in carbuncle.

Anthrax

Anthrax is an acute disease in humans and animals caused by Bacillus anthracis, which is highly lethal in all forms. There are effective vaccines against anthrax, and some forms of the disease respond well to antibiotic treatment.

The anthrax bacillus is one of only a few that can form long-lived spores: in a hostile environment, caused perhaps by the death of an infected host or extremes of temperature, the bacteria produce inactive dormant spores which can remain viable for many decades and perhaps centuries. These spores are found on all continents except Antarctica. When spores are inhaled, ingested, or come into contact with a skin lesion on a host they reactivate and multiply rapidly.

Anthrax most commonly infects wild and domesticated herbivorous mammals which ingest or inhale the spores while eating grass or browsing. Ingestion is assumed to be the most common route by which herbivores contract anthrax, but this is yet to be proven. Carnivores living in the same environment may ingest infected animals and become infected themselves. Anthrax can also infect human when they are exposed to blood and other tissues from infected animals (via inhalation or direct inoculation through broken skin), eat tissue from infected animals, or are exposed to a high density of anthrax spores from an animal's fur, hide, or wool.

APIS MILL:

Anthrax burning like fire.
Intense burning in the seat of the carbuncle and some distance around the tumour.
Sensation as if boiling water was running beneath the skin.
Restlessness, thirst, debility; at night, from warmth.

HEPAR SULPH.

If given early will sometimes about anthrax, later it promotes suppuration.
Carbuncle surrounded by indurated sports, pain intense, sleeplessness.
Stinging burning of edges of ulcer with corroding discharge.

LACHESIS

Dark redness around the sore, which discharges dark, bloody pus.
Tension of the skin around the carduncle, as if too short; nightly burning of the ulcer, obliging one to rise and wash it with cold water.
Gangrene, carbuncle from blood- poisoning.

Anemia

Anemia is also known as anæmia/anaemia is defined as a qualitative deficiency of hemoglobin or quantitative deficiency of hemoglobin, a protein found inside red blood cells (RBCs). Since hemoglobin normally carries oxygen from the lungs to the tissues, anemia leads to hypoxia (lack of oxygen) in organs. Since all human cells depend on oxygen for survival, varying degrees of anemia can have a wide range of clinical consequences. Anemia is also caused by a lack of iron in the body.

The three main classes of anemia include excessive blood loss, acutely such as a hemorrhage or chronically through low-volume loss, excessive blood cell destruction Hemolysis or deficient red blood cell production (ineffective hematopoiesis ).
Anemia is the most common disorder of the blood. There are several kinds of anemia, produced by a variety of underlying causes. Anemia can be classified in a variety of ways, based on the morphology of RBCs, underlying etiologic mechanisms, and discernible clinical spectra.

There are two major approaches: The "kinetic" approach which involves evaluating production, destruction and loss, and the "morphologic" approach which groups anemia by red blood cell size. The morphologic approach uses a quickly available and cheap lab test as its starting point (the MCV ).

Signs of Anemia

Anemia goes undetected in many people, and symptoms can be small and vague. Most commonly, people with anemia report a feeling of weakness or fatigue in general or during exercise, general malaise and sometimes poor concentration. People with more severe anemia often report dyspnea which means shortness of breath, on exertion. Very severe anemia prompts the body to compensate by increasing cardiac output, leading to palpitations and sweatiness, and to heart failure.

Pallor (pale skin, mucosal linings and nail beds) is often a useful diagnostic sign in moderate or severe anemia, but it is not always apparent. Other useful signs are cheilosis and koilinychia .

Pica, means the consumption of non-food based items such as dirt, paper, wax, grass, ice, and hair, may be a symptom of iron deficiency, although it occurs often in those who have normal levels of hemoglobin.
Chronic anemia may result in behavioral disturbances in children as a direct result of impaired neurological development in infants, and reduced scholastic performance in children of school age.

After menses, exhausted physically and mentally, scarcely able to speak .

Anaemia due to disintegration of the blood-corpuscles.
Rapid excessive prostration, with sinking of the vital forces; oedema.
Emaciation, wants to be a warm room.
Debility from overtaxing muscular tissue by prolonged exertion.
Extreme restlessness and fear of death (pernicious anaemia).

HELONIAS

Anemia and atony from prolonged haemorrhage, esp. from uterine atony.
Debility and languor from affection of the genitor-urinary.
Atony of all the organs from indolence and luxury.

NATRUM MUR:

Anaemia from loss of fluid, malarious cashexia blood impoverished.
Skin harsh, dry yellow.
Great exhaustion from any little exertion of mind or body.
Palpitation, with sensation as if a bird’s wing were fluttering in left chest.
Great emaciation, losing flesh while living well.

BIOCHEMIC REMEDIES:

CALC PHOS:

This remedy act by supplying new blood cells.
Pains and cramps dependent on anaemic condition, waxy appearance of skin, chlorosis, headache and ringing in ears.
Also useful in pernicious anaemic.

SILICEA:

Anaemia in infants, when improperly nourished, thin, delicate and puny, inter- currently with other remedies indicated.

Cholera

Cholera, is also known as Asiatic or epidemic choler. It is an infectious gastroenteritis caused by enterotoxin -producing strains of the bacterium Vibrio cholerae Transmission to humans occurs through eating food or drinking water contaminated with cholera vibrios. The major reservoir for cholera was long assumed to be humans themselves, but considerable evidence exist that aquatic environment can serve as reservoirs of the bacteria.

In its most severe forms, cholera is one of the most rapidly fatal illnesses known, and a healthy person's blood pressure may drop to hypotensive levels within an hour of the onset of symptoms; infected patients may die within three hours if medical treatment is not provided. In a common scenario, the disease progresses from the first liquid stool to shock in 4 to 12 hours, with death following in 18 hours to several days, unless oral rehydration therapy is provided.

Remedies & Symptoms

Symptoms of Cholera include nosebleed, rapid pulse, dry skin, tiredness, abdominal, cramps, leg cramps, nausea and vomiting.
The principal symptom of infection is diarrhea, which is watery and brown at first, but quickly changes to large volumes of pale fluid stools ('rice-water stools'). In the most severe cases dramatic fluid loss from the continuous diarrhea can lead to hypovolemic shock and collapse within 1 to 4 hours. Depending upon the treatment provided, unconsciousness and death can occur anytime from 12 to 18 hours afterwards, although some individual cases may persist for several days.

ACONOITE

Caused by fear, fright, shock, heat of the sun, sudden checked of sweat etc.
Sudden and violent.
Stool rice-watery with vomiting.
Bluish face, with black lips, anguish or imbecility in the face, cold limbs, with blue nails.
Collapse out of proportion to the evacuations, great and sudden sinking of strength, but with no alarm.
Thirst, burning for large quantities of cold water.

CARBO VEG

From spoiled fish or meats, fats, salts meats, or getting overhead, etc.
Type cholera haemorrahagica, cholera asiatica, where the RBC passes out with serums and tinge is red.
Stool- rice-watery, offensive, passes frequently and involuntarily, associated with flatulence.
Diarrhoea and vomiting, with oppression of chest and coma, or algid state, collapse without stool.
Nose, cheeks and finger- tips bluish, cold tongue, desire to be constantly fanned.

VERATRUM ALBUM

For the cases with very profuse, evacuation, profuse vomiting and purging and profuse cold sweat.
Server cutting pains in abdomen.
Violent diarrhea, with greenish, watery, flocculent stools, followed by rapid prostration.
Cramps in calves.
Small, almost imperceptible pulse.
Hoarse weak, weak, voices, cold breathe.
Cold sweat over whole body .

Stye

The stye is also known as Hordeolum it is an infection of the sebaceous glands at the base of the eyelashes. These are similar to Chalazia but tend to be of smaller size and feel much more painful and usually produce no lasting damage.

Cause

The caused of Styes are generally by a staphylococcus aureus bacterial infection. Although they are particularly common in infants, styes are experienced by people of all ages. Styes can be triggered by stress or poor nutrition. Using the same razor to shave hair near both the eyes and a mustache can also spread staphylococcus bacteria, potentially leading to styes or other eye infections. The bacteria are contagious, so care should be taken to avoid touching the eye or sharing cosmetics, towels, or washcloths. Styes will last up to 3 weeks without treatment, with treatment up to a week.

Remedies & Symptoms

The first signs of a stye are tenderness, pain, and redness in the affected area. Later symptoms include itching, swelling, watering of the eye, sensitivity to light, and discomfort when blinking. A yellowish bump sometimes develops in the affected area. This can be found on the top, bottom, or any area pertaining to the eye.

HEPAR SULPH

Where there is a tendency to a recurrence of the complaint, suppuration inevitable.

MERCURIUS

Tumors hard, inflamed and painful .
The abscess matures very slowly.

Hiccough:

A hiccough is an extraordinary type of breathing movement involving a sudden intake of air inspiration due to an involuntary contraction of the diaphragm accompanied by closure of the vocal apparatus (glottis) of the larynx. A hiccough is also called a hiccup.The abrupt inspiration is the result of a sudden contraction of the diaphragm. Closure of the glottis then halts the incoming air. The column of air strikes the closed glottis to produce the characteristic sound: a hiccup.
Hiccups are often rhythmic.
If self-limited, they are just a minor nuisance, but prolonged hiccups can become a major medical problem.

Hiccough caused by

It has been said that hiccoughs are caused by the lack of sufficient intake of oxygen in the air we breath. Many people have many beliefs about what actually causes hiccoughs, and we do not claim to know the true cause(s). However, we do know that when one hiccoughs, there is an involuntary or reflex action of a quick inhalation, accompanied by the brief pain or discomfort caused when the top of the closed throat is inhaled against.

Hiccough can also be caused by

Diseases of the pleura (thin membrane layers that cover the lung).
Use of certain prescription or non-prescription drugs.
Disorders of the stomach, esophagus, bowel, or pancreas.
Spread of cancer from another part of the body to the liver or part of the pleura.
Pneumonia.

BELLADONNA

Hiccough and convulsions of left arms and right leg alternating.
Voilation hiccough after midnight, accompained by profuse sweat .
Spasms, composed partly of eructations,party of hiccough voilent attacks of hiccough , so that they jerk the patient up, even with feeling of suffocation.

BISMUTH

Hiccough , pressure in stomach after a meal.
Violent eruction, somthing fotid and cadaverous-smelling.
Gastric irritation with pyrosis, restless , moving about.

CYCLAMEN

Sever hiccough while eating and for some time afterwards or hiccough -like eructations, esp. in Pregnant women.
Burning in oesophagus and aching pains in stmoch,extended thought to back,coming on when at rest, by motion.

Warts

I verruce is also known as warts, generally it is like a samll tumor. Typically it happens in hands and feet but often other locations, that can resemble a cauliflower or a solid blister.
Warts are common, and are caused by a viral infection, specifically by the human papillomavirus (HPV) and are contagious when in contact with the skin of an infected person.

Cause

Warts are caused by a virus called human papilloma virus or HPV. There are approximately 100 strains of human papilloma viruses Type 1, 2, and 3 causes most of the common warts.

Type 1 is associated with deep plantar sole of the feet, and palmar warts palm of the hand.

Type 2 causes common warts, filiform warts, plantar warts, mosaic plantar warts.

Type 3 causes plane warts, or commonly known as flat warts.

Anogenital warts are caused by types 6, 11, 16, 18, 30, 31, 33, 34, 35, 39, 40 and others. HPV types 6 and 11 cause about 90% of genital warts cases. HPV types 16 and 18 currently cause about 70% of cervical cancer cases,and also cause some vulvar, vaginal, penile and anal cancers. Gardasil, a vaccine for HPV is designed to prevent infection with HPV types 16, 18, 6, and 11; it is claimed to prevent infections to other strains of anogenital warts through cross protection against other types of HPVs. HPV is associated with oral cancer, laryngeal cancers, tracheal and lung cancers.

Verruca vulgaris is also known as common wart which is , a raised wart with roughened surface, most common on hands and knees;

Verruca plana is known as a flat wart its , a small, smooth flattened wart, flesh coloured, which can occur in large numbers; most common on the face, neck, hands, wrists and knees;

Filiform or digitate wart, a thread- or finger-like wart, most common on the face, especially near the eyelids and lips;

Verruca, Verruca pedis ia s plantar wart a hard sometimes painful lump, often with multiple black specks in the center; usually only found on pressure points on the soles of the feet;

Mosaic wart, a group of tightly clustered plantar-type warts, commonly on the hands or soles of the feet;

Venereal wart, Condyloma acuminatum, Verruca acuminata, is a genital wart a wart that occurs on the genitalia.

CAUSTICUM

Warts and scrofulous skin affections.
Small non pedunculated warts all over body, internal and external, and on eyelids

LYCOPODIUM

Split and furrowed warts , surrounded by a herpetic areola , with branlike desquamation .

Wart like excrescences on back of hand, on chin and other places .
Warts and condylomata, large , seedy and pedunculated, sometimes oozing moisture and bleeding readily.
Condylomata about anus painful sore, even to touch.

Renal colic

A pain commonly caused for kidney stone is known as Renal colic. This pain typically begins in the kidney area or below it and radiates through the flank until it reaches the bladder. Colic is a misnomer because renal colic pain tends to remain constant, whereas colic implies pain that is somewhat intermittent and often comes in waves, such as in biliary colic.

This renal colic pain has two varieties dull and acute; the acute variation is particularly unpleasant and has been described as one of the strongest pain sensations felt by humans. The pain depending on the type and sizes of the kidney stones moving through the urinal tract the pain may be stronger in the renal or bladder area or equally strong in both.

ARGENTUM NIT

Renal colic from congestion of kidney or passage of kidneys or passage of calculi.
Dull aching in small of back and over bladder.
Urine burns while passing and urethra feels swollen.
Urine dark, contains blood, or deposit of renal epithelium and uric acid; passed often and little at a time, in drops

ARNICA

Agonizing pains in back and hips from passage of calculi.
Piercing pains as if were plunged into renal region.
Violent tenesmus of bladder.
Chilly and inclined to vomiting.

BELLADONNA

Renal calculi with sharp, shooting pains, come suddenly and radiate and go suddenly.
Spasmodic, crampy staining along ureter, during passage of calculus.

CANTHARIS

One of the best remedies during the pafoxysms of renal colic.
Pains lancinating, cutting, stabbing like knives, shoot off in difference directions.
Tenesmus; burning pain, with intolerable urging to urinate.
If he could only pass a few drops more urinate.
If he could only pass a few drops more urine he would get relief.
Thirst, with aversion to all fluids.

What are fibroids?

Fibroid are usually benign non-cancerous tumors found, most often, in the uterus of women in their 30's and 40's, although they occasionally develop on other organs which contain smooth muscle cells.
Fibroid are solid tumors which are made of fibrous tissue, hence the name 'fibroid' tumor. Most often fibroids occur as multiple tumor masses which are slow-growing and often cause no symptoms.

The size of fibroids varies immensely among women and some are so small that a microscope is required to see them. However some women experience a single large fibroid tumor the size of a grapefruit or a fibroid which is so large it encompasses the entire abdominal area. An individual woman may have single or multiple fibroids. In fact, there can be a mixture of different types present in any given patient.

Fibroids are responsive to hormonal stimulation, especially that of estrogen, and may grow steadily during the fertile period of a woman's life. They frequently begin to shrink after menopause.

Fibroids are vascular tumors. That means that they have a rich supply of blood vessels, most often coming from the uterine artery
Symptoms are present in about half of the women with fibroids. The most common symptoms are pelvic pain, pain during sex, excessive vaginal bleeding, and a feeling of abdominal or pelvic fullness. In addition, the weight of a fibroid can compress the colon and urinary bladder, causing constipation or frequent urination.

A sense of shuddering and painful pressure within uterus.

THUJA

Uterine fibroid; pressing and contracting pain in uterus while sitting.

IODUM

Uterine fibroid; uterus enlarged; uterine leucorrhoea with swelling of cervix, or and uterus felling hard and indurated.

LACHESIS

Uterine fibroid and ovarian tumours; with profuse and prolonged menses.
Great sensitiveness of lower abdomen .

Aphthae, aphthous ulcers or canker sores are ulcers that form on the mucous membranes of the mouth or genitals. The most common type of an aphthous ulcer is recurrent minor aphthous ulcer. Aphthous ulcers are typically recurrent round or oval sores or ulcers that occur inside the mouth on areas where the skin is not tightly bound to the underlying bone e.g. on the inside of the lips and cheeks or underneath the tongue.

Causes Aphthous ulcers Current thinking is that the immune system has been disturbed by some external factor and these results in the development of aphthous ulcers. Also, approximately 40% of people who get ulcers have a family history of aphthous ulcers.

Some factors that seem to trigger outbreaks of ulcers include: Mechanical trauma, for example self-inflicted bite. Nutritional deficiencies, particularly vitamins B, iron, and folic acid. Certain foods including chocolate. Emotional stress and lack of sleep. Certain toothpastes. Menstrual cycle Aphthous ulcers are commonly present in certain medical conditions.

Many of these conditions are associated with impaired immune systems and include Behcet disease, HIV/AIDS, gluten-sensitive enteropathy, Crohn disease and inflammatory bowel disease. Sometimes these ulcers can be painful, particularly if they are irritated by movement or from eating certain types of food. People may experience a single ulcer or multiple ulcers. Multiple ulcers tend to be widely distributed throughout a person's mouth.

Washing out the mouth three or four time a day with a weak solution of Borax it is useful in many cases, but should not b pushed too far.

Cholera, sometimes known as Asiatic or epidemic cholera is an infectious gastroenteritis caused by enterotoxin -producing strains of the bacterium Vibrio cholerae. Transmission to humans occurs through eating food or drinking water contaminated with cholera vibrios. Vibrio cholerae is a Gram-negative bacterium that produces cholera toxin, an enterotoxin, whose action on the mucosal epithelium lining of the small intestine is responsible for the disease's infamous characteristic, exhaustive diarrhea.

It is also known as stroke. It is an uncontrolled bleeding into the brain due to a cerebrovascular accident CVA, resulting in sudden loss of consciousness and paralysis of various parts of the body. When the blood vessel in the brain is blocked or broken, and the blood supply is reduced which carries oxygen and nutrients to the brain. Within a few minute the brains die without oxygen and nutrients.

Causes of Apoplexy:

It happens because of too much of blood within the brain called (Hemorrhagic Stroke).it happens when a blood vessel in the brain ruptures or leaks due to the onset of other diseases, such as high blood pressure.

Sudden attack of congestion in young and robust person, often apoplection.

What causes laryngitis?

It’s a viral infection of the upper airways. It also causes by some kind of injury as an infection, smoking and other inhaled irritants, drinking of spirits, contact with caustic or acidic substances including the acid reflux from the stomach, vocal overuse, allergic reaction it may also cause due to direct trauma.

When we have abnormal voice change this is known as Hoarseness, if some one is having a problem of hoarseness as the voice will sound rough, raspy, breathy, strained.
The major cause of hoarseness may be vocal cord nodules, irritation of or injury to vocal cord environmental irritants such as tobacco or smoking, viral laryngitis, laryngeal papillomas, and gastroesophageal reflux-related laryngitis. Hoarseness can also be caused by bacterial infection, overuse of the voice such as from yelling or singing, inhalation of irritants smoking, etc.

Coughing is an important way to keep your throat and airways clear. However, excessive coughing may mean you have an underlying disease or disorder, .It’s forceful release of air from the lungs that can be heard.

Homeopathic treatment of coughs is frequently and often rapidly effective, but it needs very careful symptom observation.

If coughing is accompanied by high fever, chest pain, bloody sputum; or is especially severe.

HEPAR SULPHUR:

The cough is more moist, with rattling of mucus in the chest.

The cough is worse from laughing, talking, eating, lying on the left side; it is also prone to be worse from exposure to open air and to changes in air temperature, as when going from cool outside air to a warm room or vice versa.
Sputum may taste salty or sweet, or appear rusty. There is usually a strong thirst for cold drinks.
The patient is often chilly, anxious, and prefers company.

There may be local sensations of heat, such as burning sensations in the chest, head, or face.

Head colds descend to the chest producing coughing which is typically dry and teasing.
Exposure to dry, cold weather aggravates.
The cough is often worse after eating and ameliorated by warm drinks.
Almost always the patient is very chilly; chills result from motion and uncovering.
The cough may cause headache.

What is Tonsillitis?

It is an infection of the tonsils glands, which we have in the back of our mouth. It causes either by a virus or a bacterium usually the bacterium known as streptococcus. Vomiting and Nausea

Vomiting and nausea are a common complain that happens with many conditions and diseases. It can happen due to many causes like due to morning sickness, motion sickness, dehydration, pregnancy or due to any major sickness or cancer therapy also causes vomiting.
Vomiting is a very violent act in which the stomach contents are forcefully expelled through mouth. The stomach turn itself inside out - forcing itself into the lower portion of the esophagus during a vomiting.

Nausea can be defined as a unpleasant feeling in stomach or throat that may cause vomiting, nausea is the sensation that the stomach wants to empty itself.

There are several causes for nausea and vomiting,It can cause due to acute gastric or other illnesses in the stomach. Food poisoning may also cause vomiting and usually it happens due to bacterial toxin. Another cause of vomiting is use of alcohol or smoking. It may also cause due to Peptic ulcer disease which causes mild irritation of the stomach lining to the formation of a defect in the protective lining of the stomach called an ulcer.

Remedies/ Symptoms

NUX VOM:

Vomiting from hot spiced food or seasoned food, irregular diets, over eating, mental over exertion, effects of night watching, smoking, alcohol etc.
Bitter or sour tasted vomiting , profuse or scanty white glairy or tenacious mucous comes out, constant ineffectual urging for vomiting especially after eating, and in the morning but without too much of vomiting, vomiting gives a patient temporary relief so the patient wants to vomit by throwing finger inside the throat.
Worst in the morning and after eating and better by immediately after vomiting for the time being.
Nausea and vomiting every morning with depression of spirits.

VERATRUM ALB:

Vomiting may be from taking alcohol etc.
Profuse vomiting may be associated with profuse diarrhoea, if once vomiting starts not easily stops.
Every vomiting followed by excessive nausea and great prostration.
Vomiting substances are bitter, foamy, white or yellowish green mucous, and offensive by drinking and from least motion.
Due to frequent profuse vomiting vital force can sinks quickly and complete prostration with collapse may occur.

PHOSPHORUS:

Vomiting and nausea from pregnancy, irritation of mucous membrane of stomach, placing hand in warm water etc.
As soon as cold water becomes warn in stomach, vomiting starts. Regurgitation of ingesta in mouthful.
Something vomiting of bright red blood.
During pregnancy, slight of water causing vomiting, in the evening, midnight, lie on left side, and from lie on right side.
A weak empty all gone sensation in head, chest, stomach, or may be in entire abdomen.

Menstruation

Menstruation is being known with many names like period, monthly cycle. It is a vaginal bleeding occurs approximately every 28 days in adolescent girls and pre-menopausal women. In this time female sex hormones prepare the uterus to support a pregnancy. If pregnancy takes place, menstruation usually does not return until after childbirth. Menstrual blood and tissues leave the body through the vagina and it usually lasts from three to seven days. Menstrual disorders occur when certain factors interrupt a woman’s menstrual cycle.

Menstrual disorders include missed periods (amenorrhea), as well as periods that are unusually heavy or long (menorrhagia), unusually light (hypomenorrhea), unusually frequent (polymenorrhea), unusually infrequent (oligomenorrhea) and unusually painful (dysmenorrhea).

Remedies/ Symptoms

ACONIT

Menses profuse long lasting esp. in plethoric women who lead a sedentary life, or too late, diminished or protracted.
Menses profuse with nose bleed.
Menses suppressed by fright vexation.
Dysmenorrhea from thickening of the peritoneum over ovaries, labor-like pressing in womb has to bend double relieved is no position.

PULSATILLA

Irregular menses in consequence of constipation. The patient is thirstlessness , mild gentle, weep easily.

SEPIA

Irregular menses of nearly every form for example early, late, scanty, profuse, amenorrhea or menorrhagia.
Following in the morning great weakness in the morning.Regular but scanty , lasting only one day dark.
Before menses sadness acrid leucorrhoea, with violent colic shuddering.

Diarrhoea

Diarrhoea:

Diarrhoea causes dehydration. Children are more likely than adults to die from diarrhoea because they become dehydrated more quickly. Diarrhoea is also a major cause of child malnutrition. Diarrhea commonly results from gastroenteritis caused by viral infections. In sanitary living conditions where there is simple food and use of clean water, an otherwise healthy patient usually recovers from viral infections in a few days, but if you have diarrhoea for long periods of time, it is very troubling and you may feel very weak and tired.

What is Mumps?

Mumps is a short-term viral infection, relatively mild of the salivary gland that usually occurs during childhood. It is characterized by a painful swelling of both cheek areas, although the person could have swelling on one side or no perceivable swelling at all.
It is also known Parotid Glands; therefore, mumps is sometimes referred to as an inflammation of the parotid glands.

CAUSES

The virus that causes mumps lives in a person's saliva. It is spread by coughing, sneezing, or other direct contact between people. . It spreads easily in densely populated areas, such as schools. Most children developed the disease between the ages of four and seven. Mumps epidemics reappeared in two- to five-year cycles.

Remedies /symptoms

ACONITE

Mumps may be from sudden checked of perspiration; exposure to dry cold air dry north or west wind etc.
Sudden and violent swelling over the parotid region.
Fever with restlessness and anxiety.
Intense thirst for cold water in the evening and night.

I inflammation of rights parotid with bright redness and violent shooting pains.

PILOCARPUS MYC

Mumps, it act very quickly and also relieves the pain.
It has also a reputation for the metastases in which mumps excels weather to testes or mammae, when the swelling suddenly subside as the result of a chill and worst troubles supervene.
Pilocarpus also acts as a prophylactic.

PULSATILLA

Lingering fever, or metastases.
If in mumps the patient get a cold.
Vertigo on rising from siting posture , with chilliness.
Thickly – coated tongue, with bad taste in morning.

Appendicitis

What is Appendicitis?
Appendicitis results from inflammation of the appendix. It is like a small worm as a pouch attached to the right side of the large intestine. It can happen at any age but most cases are between 8 and 25 years of age. It is rarely seen in children aged less than two years. It is most commonly seen in boys than in girls, and more common in teenagers than in younger children.

Cause of Appendicitis:
The specific reason for the inflammation is still not known in most of the cases but it is sometimes caused by small pieces of hardened stool that get stuck in the appendix.

Remedies/ symptoms

Sudden and violent pain in the right ileo-caecal region .
Troubling or cutting or burring sensation of the affected region .
Cannot bear the least touch, not even the pressure of the cover and above all, the least jar

Asthma is a lung condition that causes a person to have difficulty breathing. Asthma is a common condition. More than 6 million kids and adults have it. Asthma is a disease that inflames and narrows the airways in your lungs. If the airways become so narrow that you have trouble breathing, it’s called an asthma flare-up or “Asthma Attack”. Air travels into and out of the lungs through tubes called airways.
Asthma affects a person's airways, also known as bronchial tubes .When a person breathes normally, air is taken in through the nose or mouth and then goes into the Trachea (windpipe), passing through the bronchial tubes, into the lungs, and finally back out again. But people with asthma have airways that are inflamed. This means that they swell and produce lots of thick mucus. They are also overly sensitive, or hyperreactive, to certain things, like, dust, exercise, or cigarette smoke. This hyperreactivity causes the smooth muscle that surrounds the airways to tighten up. The combination of airway inflammation and muscle tightening narrows the airways and makes it difficult for air to move through.

In most people with asthma, the difficulty breathing happens periodically. When it does happen, it is known as an asthma attack, flare, episode, or exacerbation.

This narrowing or obstruction can cause one or a combination of the following symptoms:

Coughing
Wheezing
Shortness of breath
Chest tightness

Causes of Asthma

Environmental Factors:

In wealthy, hygienic places, most babies are not exposed to bacterial infections that "kick start" the immune system in early life and may be important in directing the immune system away from allergic responses. They also grow up in warm, well-furnished, carpeted homes that don't allow much airflow. This encourages the rapid breeding of large numbers of house dust mites in bedding, carpets and furnishings. Many children, instead of playing outside in fresh air, spend most of their time indoors. This further increases dust mite sensitization. Exposure to tobacco smoke whether during the mother's pregnancy or in early childhood, predisposes children to developing asthma. It also makes their symptoms more severe. Children can also become sensitized to animals, pollens moulds and dust in the environment .

Dietary Changes:

changes in diet in such as a high proportion of processed foods, a higher salt intake, a lower antioxidant intake and a lack of fresh oily fish, lower intake of omega-3 fatty acids may contribute to the development of asthma.

Genetic Factors:

Asthma tends to run in families, and many people with asthma also have other allergic conditions such as rhinitis which is known as inflammation of the nose lining. "Allergy" is a hypersensitivity to some proteins foreign to the body; a small dose of the "Allergen" will produce a violent reaction in the person concerned.

Occupational Exposure:

In adults, asthma can develop in response to irritants in the workplace- chemicals, dusts, gases, moulds and pollens. These can be found in industries such as baking, spray painting of cars, woodworking, chemical production, and farming etc. .

Lack of Exercise:

When some one spends more time inside in front of the television or computes means that children get far less exercise. Reduced exercise may mean less stretching of the airways, and a greater tendency for the muscle in the airway walls to contract abnormally when exposed to minor irritants.

Prevention of Asthma

The best way to prevent an allergy is to recognize that you have one. Often people confuse an allergy with a cold or flu. Remember colds are short-lived and passed from person to person, whereas allergies are immune system reactions to normally harmless substances.
If you are dust-sensitive, especially if you have allergies and/or asthma, you can reduce some of your misery by creating a "dust-free" bedroom. Dust may contain molds, fibers, and dander from dogs, cats, and other animals, as well as tiny dust mites. These mites, which live in bedding, upholstered furniture, and carpets, thrive in the summer and die in the winter. They will, however, continue to thrive in the winter if the house is warm and humid. The particles seen floating in a shaft of sunlight include dead mites and their waste products, The waste products actually provoke the allergic reaction.

Food Allergies

Our consumption of food nearly triples during the holiday season. With the scrumptious variety of foods available during the holidays, a food allergy can easily present itself.

Symptoms of a food allergy can be as simple as skin problems (itchiness, rashes or hives) or intestinal troubles (abdominal pain, diarrhea or vomiting), or as dangerous as swelling of the respiratory passages, shortness of breath, fainting or anaphylactic shock.

The more common food allergens are:

Egg
Milk
Peanuts
Soy
Shellfish
Wheat

These foods are often hidden as ingredients in casseroles or desserts. You should be aware of what you are eating, but don't limit your diet to only a few foods since a well balanced diet is best.

Preventive Strategies

If you have had severe reactions to a food, talk to your doctor about carrying an epinephrine injector
If you experience symptoms, avoid any further contact with that food item, rinse your mouth and meet a doctor.
Read food labels carefully.
If you are dining out, ask about the ingredients used in preparing the dish before tasting the food.
Beware of foods that cause you symptoms.

Cockroaches

Cockroaches are one of the most common and allergenic of indoor pests.Recent studies have found a strong association between the presence of cockroaches and increases in the severity of asthma symptoms in individuals who are sensitive to cockroach allergens.
These pests are common even in the cleanest of crowded urban areas and older dwellings. They are found in all types of neighborhoods.The proteins found in cockroach saliva are particularly allergenic but the body and droppings of cockroaches also contain allergenic proteins.

Preventive Strategies

Avoid the outdoors between 5-10 am. Save outside activities for late afternoon or after a heavy rain, when pollen levels are lower.
Be aware that pollen can also be transported indoors on people and pets.
Dry your clothes in an automatic dryer rather than hanging them outside. Otherwise pollen can collect on clothing and be carried indoors.
Keep windows in your home and car closed to lower exposure to pollen. To keep cool, use air conditioners and avoid using window and attic fans.
If you buy trees for your yard, look for species that do not aggravate allergies such as catalpa, crape myrtle, dogwood, fig, fir, palm, pear, plum, redbud and redwood trees

House Dust

House dust is a component of who you are. House dust is not just dirt but a mixture of otentially allergenic materials, such as:

Dust mites
Plant & insect parts
Fibers
Hair, animal fur & feathers
Dried saliva & urine from pets
Food particles
Mold spores
Pollens
Flakes of human & animal skin

The more time you spend indoors, particularly in the fall and winter, the greater your exposure to house dust allergens.

Preventive Strategies

Wear protective gloves and a dust mask while cleaning to reduce exposure to dust and cleaning irritants.
Dust rooms thoroughly with a damp cloth at least once a week.
Use electric and hot water radiant heaters to provide a cleaner source of heat than "blown air" systems.
Reduce the number of stuffed animals, wicker baskets, dried flowers and other dust collectors around the house.
Replace carpets with washable scatter rugs or bare floors (wood, tile or linoleum).

Replace heavy drapes and blinds with washable curtains or shades.

Grass

As with tree pollen, grass pollen is regional as well as seasonal. In addition, grass pollen levels can be affected by temperature, time of day and rain.Of the 1,200 species of grass that grow in North America, only a small percentage of these cause allergies. The most common grasses that can cause allergies are:

Bermuda grass
Johnson grass
Kentucky bluegrass
Orchard grass
Sweet vernal grass
Timothy grass

Animal Allergens

Many people think animal allergies are caused by the fur or feathers of their pet. In fact, allergies are actually aggravated by:

Proteins in saliva (which stick to fur when animals lick themselves).
Proteins secreted by oil glands and shed as dander.
Aerosolized urine from rodents and guinea pigs.

Keep in mind that you can sneeze with and without your pet being present. Although an animal may be out of sight, their allergens are not. This is because pet allergens are carried on very small particles. As a result pet allergens can remain circulating in the air and remain on carpets and furniture for weeks and months after a pet is gone.

Preventive Strategies

If pet removal is not possible, keep them out of bedrooms and confined to areas without carpets or upholstered furniture.
After playing with your pet, wash your hands and clean your clothes to remove pet allergens.
Remove pets from your home if possible.
Wear a dust mask and gloves when near rodents.
Avoid contact with soiled litter cages.

One of the commonest forms of hair loss in women and men is a condition called TELOGEN effluvium, in which there is a diffuse shedding of hairs around the scalp and elsewhere on the body. This is a fairly common symptom of lupus. The hair loss is usually patchy. This is usually a reaction to intense stress on the body's physical or hormonal systems, or as a reaction to medication.
The condition, which can occur at any age, generally begins fairly suddenly and gets better on its own within about six months, although for a few people it can become a chronic problem. About 90 percent of hair on the scalp grows continually. The other 10 percent of scalp hair is in a resting phase that lasts two to three months. At the end of the resting stage, this hair is shed. Shedding 50 to 100 hairs a day is normal.

Every hair follicle has life cycle of between two and six years, which ends with the hair falling and a new one replacing it. 90% of the hair is at the growing stage ANAGEN; at this stage the hair grows about 0.3 mm everyday and it last three years. The next stage is resting KATAGEN; at this stage the hair does not grow and stay static for three weeks. The last stage takes place when the hair falls TELOGEN; it can take up to three months to the hair to fall. Normally, at this stage new hair is growing.The average person loses between 50 to 100 hairs daily. The hair grows about one CM a month. Blond people have more hairs, about 140,000, in compare to darker hair people who have 90,000. Old people tend to lose more hairs then growing them back. Hair loss is usually diagnostic when large areas of the scalp are left with only thin hair. Usually people notice hair loss when they comb, or at the shower. One way to test if we are losing our hair is to pull your hair if you end up with more than 4-5 hairs in your hand you might have a problem. Arthritis: what is it?

A simple mean of arthritis is a painful joint .Arthritis is often referred to as a chronic disease. This means that it can affect the person afflicted with arthritis over a long period of time, perhaps for the rest of a person's life. It can be treated through a variety of products, both prescription and over-the-counter, as well as natural and medical-related methods. This is a brief overview of some of the methods and products that arthritis sufferers can use to alleviate, many of the symptoms associated with arthritis, especially joint pain.

There are over 100 types of arthritis and rheumatic diseases including Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, and Fibromyalgia here is the description of some:

Rheumatoid Arthritis: Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic inflammatory disease that primarily affects the joints and surrounding tissues, it’s the main type of inflammatory arthritis. It's a chronic condition identified by pain and swelling in the joints, which leads to reduced movement and the breakdown of bone and cartilage. Affecting between 1% and 3% of the population, rheumatoid arthritis usually starts between the ages of 30 and 50. Women are affected three times more often than men.

Osteoarthritis: Osteoarthritis is the most common form of arthritis. It occurs when the cartilage between your bones gradually wastes away and can lead to painful rubbing of bone on bone in the joints. It may also cause joints to fall out of their natural positions (Misalignment). The most frequently affected joints are in the hands, spine, knees and hips. Osteoarthritis mostly affects people aged between 40 and 60; it grows more common with age. Around 15% of people over 65 are affected.

Soft Tissue Rheumatism describes irritation, inflammation or pain arising from the muscles and ligaments that support joints. Some are localized, such as 'tennis elbow', others are more widespread.

Other forms of arthritis include cervical spondylitis, ankylosing spondylitis, fibromyalgia, gout. Systemic lupus erythematosis (lupus), psoriatic arthritis and Reiter’s syndrome. it often associated with older people, but can also affect children.

Three types of Arthritis which affect children:

Oligo-Articular- Onset juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA). Only a few joints are affected, most commonly the knee. It has good recovery rates and the joints are rarely affected in the long term. However, there's a risk of developing uveitis (inflammation of the eye), so children should have regular checks with an eye specialist (Ophthalmologist).

Polyarticular JIA (or Polyarthritis).

Many joints are inflamed, with symptoms very similar to adult rheumatoid arthritis. This kind of arthritis may continue into adult life; it may also go into a state of remission where all the symptoms disappear.

Systemic JIA. This affects the whole body and causes fever and rashes as well as inflamed joints. The cause of JIA is unknown, but theories include genetic factors and viral infections .

Natural Methods which are most Beneficial

Exercise &Weight Reduction:

Stretching Exercises :swimming, walking, low-impact aerobic exercise, and range-of-motion exercises may reduce joint pain and stiffness while increasing joint mobility. In addition to alleviating some symptoms, the weight loss associated with an exercise program is beneficial in relieving the stress of extra weight on weight-bearing joints, especially the hips and knees In addition, if osteoarthritis has already affected one knee, weight reduction will reduce the chance of it occurring in the other knee. Joint Protection:

A splint or brace can be used to allow joints to rest and keep them from being used, which can exacerbate the condition and may lead to additional injury. As with many other treatments, your physician or physical therapist can make recommendations and possibly provide you with the brace.

Heat and Cold:

Since heat and/or cold is not recommended to alleviate symptoms associated with all types of arthritis, the decision whether to use it or not should be discussed with your doctor or physical therapist. If appropriate for use on your arthritis pain, it must be determined which kind of temperature treatment should be used. Moist heat, such as a warm bath or shower, or dry heat, such as a heating pad, placed on affected joint for about 15 minutes may relieve the pain. An ice pack wrapped in a towel and placed on the sore area for about 15 minutes may help to reduce swelling and stop the pain. If you have poor circulation, do not use cold packs.

Massage:

This method is associated with temporarily relieving one of the major symptoms associated with arthritis, joint pain, rather than treating the underlying cause, loss of cartilage. A massage therapist will lightly stroke and/or knead the painful muscle, which increases blood flow to the stressed area. It is important to realize that arthritic joints are very sensitive, so the massage therapist must be familiar with the disease and problems associated with the affected joints.

What is Migraine?

In now days every one gets headache , but the migraine is a worst than a regular headache. It troubles one or both side of the head.
